Hearing Protection, Headphones, Speaker Systems and
In Ear Monitors

In 1998, Hart Dynamics was the first company to introduce speaker systems specifically designed to reproduce sound from digital drum modules. We also introduced the first drum rack mounted speakers available with our MACH I system. We are no longer producing these high-end systems, but are continually being asked to recommend audio systems for our Electracoustic® Percussion Products. With 15 years experience testing and using a wide variety of gear, we have compiled this information in our audio section to help you choose a set up to meet your needs.

Hearing Protection: A full range of essential hearing protection devices, from inexpensive foam ear plugs to high end custom molded in ear dB filters.

Headphones: A variety of recommended headphones that are excellent for monitoring digital drum modules for home, stage and studio use. If you're looking for headphones, we highly recommend checking out our section on In Ear Monitors also.

Speaker Systems: Active speaker systems for home, stage, and touring.

In Ear Monitors (IEMs): Most professional touring acts and performers use in the ear monitors (In Ear Monitors or IEMs). An IEM is basically a headphone that fits in your ear canal.

Tactile Transducers (Bass Shakers): Many professional touring acts and performers use tactile transducers along with in ear monitors to replace the "thump" from subwoofers previously used for on stage monitoring.
