RECOMMENDED BEST BUYS

ENTRY LEVEL (Package with Prodigy Drumset)

Roland TD-3
Least expensive module available. Good sounds and cool training features. Package with Prodigy set for the lowest price "mesh" kit available. Great combination.

Alesis DM5
Virtually the same as it's remarkable D4 predecessor, but with updated sounds and dynamic nuance triggering. Rock solid design with 500 + very good sounds. This module is also an inexpensive way to add trigger inputs to your set by using the built in sounds or using MIDI to trigger sounds in you main module.

INTERMEDIATE (Package with all Virtuoso, Studio Master, Custom, Pro, and Hart Professional Drumsets)

Roland TD-6V
This is a fantastic module at a great price. Super fast triggering, same sounds as the TD8 but 1 less input, and fully variable Hi-Hat. No position sensing and less sound editing capabilities.

Roland TD8
This module does almost everything.1200+ sounds, position sensing, editing capabilities and dependability. We highly recommend this module. Lots of features and very good sounds. Positional sensing Snare input. Easy to use and not too deep.

DDRUM 4SE
The ddrum 4 features fast, smooth triggering, great signature sounds, and sample loading capability. No position sensing, no effects, and limited memory.

ADVANCED (Package with all Virtuoso, Studio Master, Custom, Pro, and Hart Professional Drumsets)

Scaled down version of the TD-20. 2 less inputs (14), great sounds, most of the features and editing capabilities of the TD-20. 4 audio outs. Positional sensing snare drum, dual trigger toms, virtual (VH) Hi-Hat support (up and down).

Roland TD-20
This is the most advanced module to date. Lots of inputs (16), great sounds, the most features and editing capabilities of any drum module ever made. Multiple audio outs for multitrack recording. Positional sensing snare drum, dual trigger toms, virtual (VH) Hi-Hat support (up and down).
